Welcome to Podiana. Sooner or later every business owner is asked: so, what do you do? And most answer with a job title. Today we replace that with a story that takes sixty seconds and stays in people's heads.
Part one, the origin. One sentence about the moment it started. Not the year you registered the company, but the day you got angry about something. I opened this workshop because nobody in town would repair a bike older than five years. That's a beginning.
Part two, the promise. What is different for a customer because you exist? Say it plainly, in the words a neighbour would use. We fix it the same day, or we lend you one. No mission statements. A promise you can keep on a Tuesday afternoon.
Part three, the proof. One concrete example, with a person in it. Last winter a nurse came in at seven in the evening with a broken chain. She rode home on it at half past. Proof turns a claim into a memory.
Origin, promise, proof. Say it out loud, time it, cut until it fits into a minute. Then use it everywhere: at the counter, on your website, and when you sit in that chair over there, as a guest on Podiana.
That was Podiana. Next week: how your episode ends up on your own website, and what search engines read from it.

Being found: the four building blocks
A fast website, a complete directory entry, honest reviews and content people actually read. Four building blocks, in order of importance.
Why every local business needs a voice
The first episode explains what Podiana is, why audio works so well for local businesses and personalities, and how an episode becomes part of your own website.
