Welcome to Podiana, episode five. Today we talk about the part that most podcasts forget: what happens after the recording. Your episode should not live only in an app. It belongs on your website, where your customers already are.
That's what the Podiana widget does. On the widget page you choose your episode, light or dark, your brand colour, and you get two lines of code. Paste them where the player should appear. WordPress, Wix, Jimdo, a hand-written page, it doesn't matter. The player loads from Podiana, sets no cookies and starts only when someone presses play.
Now the invisible part, the one that matters for being found. Along with the player, the widget adds structured data to your page. In plain terms: a small block of machine-readable facts. This is a podcast episode, here is its title, this is when it was published, this is the audio file, and it belongs to this series. Search engines read exactly this format.
Why does that help? Because a page that explains itself is understood faster and shown more richly. And because your name, your business and your episode are now connected in a way that machines can follow. If you prefer, you can also copy the data block by itself and place it in your page without the player.
So: record, embed, be found. Three steps, and the last two take five minutes. That was Podiana. If you'd like to sit on this stage yourself, the page for businesses tells you how.
