Visiting the website

When you visit, technically necessary data (IP address, time, page requested, browser type) is processed by the hosting provider in server log files and deleted after a short period. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) f GDPR, the legitimate interest in secure operation. No third-party content is loaded when a page opens.

Audio playback

Episodes are audio files on this domain. When you press play, your browser fetches the file from our server; this transfer is technically necessary for playback (Art. 6 (1) b GDPR). No playback data is stored on the server.

Storage in your browser

Playback position, volume and playback speed are stored only in the local storage of your browser (localStorage). This data never leaves your device and can be deleted through your browser settings at any time. No cookies are set.

Widget on other websites

The Podiana player can be embedded on other websites. The widget is loaded from this domain and sets no cookies. The operator of the respective website is responsible for the embedding. The audio file is fetched only after a click on play.

If you subscribe to Podiana through a podcast app, that app fetches the feed and the audio files from this domain. The provider of the app is responsible for the data processing within the app.
